The Tao and the Sacred Feminine - A Women Only Class

Master Chen was a disciple of the highly respected female Taoist Grandmaster Li.  She lived to be over 130 years old and was respected as a treasure of ancient Taoist wisdom andwomen’s alchemy.  Women’s bodies and spirits have special requirements for nurturing their unique creative and formative energies.  Class will include specific targeted Qi Gong, meditation, nutrition , recipes and tantric practices.  These practices help nurture blood, balance hormones, build kidney Qi and bring women better into alignment with their Yin feminine aspect.  In this Women only class Master Chen will share the traditional oral teachings of the Taoist view of the female body, midwifery, menopause, infertility, hormonal problems, pregnancy, post menopause and much more.

Gong Fu Taoist Tea Ceremony and Tea Tasting

Experience the sacred art of the Chinese Gong Fu Tea Ceremony.  Tea has been considered a sacred and healing beverage in China for thousands of years. Poetry and music about tea abound. When you drink tea following the Gong Fu Ceremony steps to create the perfect cup of tea, you will understand why this is the case.  Master Chen will introduce the Chinese Art of Tea Brewing and Drinking.  At least five varieties of teas and herbal infusions will be enjoyed.  Learn the ceremony to share both health and tea culture with your friends.

Wu Dang Eagle (Kun Peng) Qi Gong

Kun Peng is a bird “whose back is many thousand li in breadth.  When it rises and flies, its wings are like clouds filling the skies.” (Chuang Tzu Inner Chapters).  Kun Peng Qi Gong imitates the motions of this immortal bird to facilitate internal training for opening the Eight Extraordinary Meridians, a basis for longevity.  These restorative exercises increase the quantity and improve the quality of internal Qi energy.  Eagle Qi Gong is a complete system which includes standing, seated and laying movements. Kun Peng Qi Gong emulates the character of this bird, creating the opportunity for internal greatness.

The Tao Te Ching as a Guide for Living

The Tao Te Ching is the second most read book in the world.  Only the bible has sold more copies.  The Tao Te Ching was written by Lao Zi, over two thousand years ago.  The wisdom contained in this timeless classic is as valuable now as it was then.  It is considered the basis for all Chinese philosophy, the martial arts, politics and spirituality.  Few people are aware of the book's profound hidden meanings as they relate to spiritual growth and cultivating Qi energy life force.  The wisdom of this simple book can create physical, emotional and spiritual healing through the understanding of its deeper meaning.  Join Master Chen for an inspirational and uplifting discussion.

Wu Dang Primordial (Hun Yuan) Qi Gong Parts 1 & 2

Primordial Qi Gong is considered a base form used by Taoist monks on Wu Dang Mountain to rebuild Jing (vital essence) and yuan Qi (vital energy).  These simple exercises strengthen the physical body, open the twelve energy meridians and clear emotions.  Class will cover an introduction to Qi Gong theory, health benefits of Qi Gong and internal Qi movement.  Learn to coordinate breath, movement and mind.  This powerful set of exercises cleanses, restores health to each of the major organs, reverses aging, improves the immune system, and increases intuitive abilities.

Wu Dang Taoist Meditation: Cultivating an Enlightened Mind

Wu Dang Mountain has a history of meditation practices spanning over two thousand years.  Taoist philosophy focuses on meditation practices to cultivate a calm heart, healthy body and still mind.  Through a calm heart, one can finally know his or her authentic self and live a balanced life, managing the stresses of the world.  Meditation forms the basic foundation of internal healing for martial arts, tai chi and life happiness.  Most Americans are not familiar with the many stages of growth and techniques for proper meditation practices.  This class will cover simple, meditation practices that have been time tested by many generations.

About Master Chen
Known as "Master Chen", Master Yun Xiang Tseng was trained from the age of six at the sacred Wu Dang Mountain in China.  Wu Dang Mountain is legendary for its Tai Chi, Kung Fu, healing traditions and spiritual practices.  It is considered the most sacred Taoist mountain and the birthplace of internal martial arts.  Master Chen is a 25th generation lineage holder in the Quan Zhen Pai (Complete Reality Sect) and a 14th generation lineage holder in the Wu Dang San Feng Pai.  As an ordained Taoist priest, he is an unusually gifted teacher of this ancient tradition.  Chen's mastery of English and his humorous delivery have made his teaching both accessible and profound.
